    O TRABALHO POLICIAL: O QUE A POLÍCIA FAZ QUANDO NÃO ESTÁ EMPENHADA EM OCORRÊNCIAS CRIMINAIS

    This article aims to analyze the role of the Military Police in the present time. And the problem raised is: what does the Military Police do when it is not attending to criminal occurrences? Thus, in order to contemplate both the objective and the problem, a bibliographical research and a field research with police responsible for the vehicles of areas in the ordinary service of the 10th Military Police Battalion, in Luziânia-GO, with 30 (thirty) police officers working in that locality.hrough the study, it was possible to perceive that the police develop ostensive patrolling activities when they are not attending criminal occurrence and see that this patrolling is efficient for the reduction of crime and the police service goes far beyond attendance of occurrence, in addition, the ostensivity of police activity is a great tool in the fight against crime. It is concluded that the police activity is overloaded within the routine of work, occupying most of the service to the reactive care.
