SANTOS, Abrahan Daniel Vieira dosCARMO, Shimênia Cândido do2025-08-282025-08-282018-01-01https://dspace.pm.go.gov.br/handle/123456789/3882The purpose of the present academic development is to discuss the issues raised in the scope of compulsory hospitalization, especially regarding the responsibility of the State in the development of mental health policies and in the provision of assistance to drug addicts. It will also examine the subsidies used for these policies to be implemented, as well as the effects of compulsory hospitalization. It will also be pointed out the vulnerability of the user-dependent to the social labeling, which describes him as unable to live in society given his deviant behavior. As society chastises the drug addict only by the fact that he has turned to addiction, this stereotype, by itself, already operates a judgment of reprobation, causing the theory of social labeling to pass over the subject. The theme discussed here will be as significant as possible, addressing only what is most relevant to the theme. Thus, after due support, the viability of the debate will make possible the fruiting of the possibility or not of compulsory hospitalization as a measure of treatment and social reintegration.enHospitalizationCompulsoryResponsibilityStateDrug addictsINTERNAÇÃO COMPULSÓRIA: o estado de drogadição, a responsabilidade do Estado no desenvolvimento de política de saúde mental e a prestação de assistência aos toxicodependentes.Article
